The 1.5-year-old girl fell into a borewell while playing in Dauni village of Nagaon police station area around 3.30 pm last Thursday. As per the information received in the case, the girl was stuck about 15 feet below, and rescue operations were launched. However, as soon as the NDRF team from Gwalior, who had constructed a five-foot tunnel to save the girl at 12.47 pm, left the girl from Borwell, the girl has been sent to the district hospital under the supervision of doctors with the help of an ambulance. Amla of the administration is also on the spot. A house of farmer Rajesh Kushwaha is reportedly built on a farm where his wife Janaki Kushwaha and one-year-old daughter Divyanshi were present. Suddenly, while playing, Divyanshi left the house some distance away and fell into the open borewell in the field.
It was too late and the Divyanshi's family members could not see her nearby, so the family members started looking for her. As the family members were looking for the baby, Divyanshi suddenly started crying from inside the borewell. The family members first tried to pull her out, but when they could not succeed, they told the police. On receiving information, heavy police forces including SDM Vinay Dwivedi, Tehsildar Sunita Sahani, SDOP Kamal Kumar Jain, Nagaon police station in-charge Deepak Yadav, Lugasi outpost in-charge Atul Jha, Garoli chowki rushed to the spot. On the spot, excavation from JCB was started.
SP Sachin Sharma and collector Sandeep also remained at the spot in the case. Administrative officials present at the spot said Divyanshi would be pulled out of the borewell at the earliest and did the same. Divyanshi is safe at the moment. It has been reported by the police that Divyanshi was trapped at a depth of 15 feet.
