Raipur: The rapidly spreading corona infection across the country has hit over 65 lakh people across the country. In Chhattisgarh, the Ravana combustion programme in Dussehra this year will be affected by corona. Every year, a grand Ravan-Dahan programme has been organised in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The district administration has issued instructions before Ravan-Dahan on the occasion of Navratri.

The district administration of Raipur and Bhilai has issued instructions stating that the programme will not be allowed in any of the containment zones. The instructions issued states that the effigies of Ravan, which are to be burnt, cannot be more than 10 feet tall. Only 50 people are allowed to attain the event.

The district administration says that the height of other effigies, including Ravana, cannot be more than 10 feet tall. The Ravan-Dahan programme cannot be done in any open space or on the ground. Only those who worship during the programme will be able to participate. While all those who are joining the Ravan-Dahan programme will be required to give details like names, addresses and mobile numbers, it will be mandatory for all people to be video-graphed.
