Bijapur: In Chhattisgarh's Naxalite affected district Bijapur, a Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) jawan fired on his comrades on the night of 1 February 2020. While a young man lost his life during this period, two are seriously injured. After the incident, he also shot himself and tried to commit suicide. He has been referred to Raipur in critical condition. At the same time, treatment of other jawans is going on in Bijapur District Hospital.

According to the information received, there is a CAF camp in Farsigad area. In this camp, 13th Battalion personnel are on duty. It is being told that there was a dispute between the soldiers on Saturday night about something. At the same time it is also being said that after this, a jawan opened fire on his companions. In this firing, one soldier died on the spot, while another soldier was shot in the leg. After this, the firing soldier also fired on himself. The bullet has come out of his jaw. The condition of the injured soldiers is said to be critical.

At the same time, it has been revealed in the investigation that the name of the jawan who fired the bullet is Dayashankar Shukla, the deceased jawan has been identified as Raviranjan. While the other injured is named Mohammad Arif. Dayashankar Shukla was brought to Raipur by night helicopter and admitted to Ram Krishna Care Hospital. At the same time, the treatment of the second jawan Mohammad Shakeel continues in Bijapur District Hospital. According to officials, the reason for the dispute between the soldiers has not been clear yet. The matter is under investigation.
