Raipur: In Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh, the cases registered against the Scheduled Tribes have been withdrawn. In a release issued by the Government of Chhattisgarh, it has been told that the Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel has expressed concern over the harassment of the villagers of the Scheduled Tribes of the Naxal affected areas of the state, especially Bastar region, against the cases registered by the police. It was decided to review. Now the work of withdrawing these cases has been started.

The release said that on March 8 this year, the state administration constituted a 7-member review committee headed by retired Supreme Court Justice AK Patnaik. Based on the recommendation of the committee, the Law and Legislative Affairs Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to withdraw the prosecution after reviewing the cases registered against the Scheduled Tribe residents in Naxal-affected areas.
