Raipur: Chhattisgarh bus operators meeting with Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar has not yielded any positive results. The bus operators are adamant about the decision not to run the buses after receiving no firm assurance about their 8-point demands. Today, a meeting of the bus operators of Chhattisgarh was held at Raipur bus stand before discussion with the Transport Minister. In which discussion and strategy was made on the 8 point demands.

After the meeting, Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar said that all the demands of the bus operators will be considered sympathetically. Some of these demands are such demands on which the cabinet can take a decision. He discussed the matter with the cabinet members and officials and decided to take a decision soon. The bus owners stood firm on the decision not to drive the bus when there was no concrete assurance from the Transport Minister.

State President of Chhattisgarh Traffic Federation Prakash Deshalhara said that they will not run buses unless written assurance from the government on their main demands. He said that his main demands are tax waives till March 21, exempting non-use buses from tax, increase in passenger fares compared to diesel rates, exempting toll tax.
