Raipur: The Congress, which came to power after suffering a 15-year drought in Chhattisgarh, is celebrating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi for the first time. The Congress government in Chhattisgarh has hinted at Rajiv Gandhi being included in the school curriculum. That is, Now, Rajiv Gandhi will be taught in schools in Chhattisgarh. The Department of School Education is gearing up to include Rajiv Gandhi's work in the IT sector in the school curriculum.

If that happens, it will be the first time in Chhattisgarh that former PM Rajiv Gandhi of the country will be included in the syllabus. However, the picture is not yet clear on which class it will be included. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Chhattisgarh School Education Minister Premsay Singh Tekam said that the proposal is under consideration and a decision will be taken soon.

He said, the entire life of former PM Rajiv Gandhi is inspiring for the present and future. In the last few days, the state government has issued a directive to all government offices to put up a picture of Rajiv Gandhi in accordance with the budget.
