New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed a public rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh’s Ambikapur. He passed harsh remarks on alleged ‘nepotism’ inside the grand old Congress party and also lauded the people of Chhattisgarh for showing up big numbers for the first phase of elections despite Naxal influenced the state.

“Congress party cannot sleep thinking how could this chaivala (tea seller) steal away our family’s heritage and position”? PM  Modi asserted.

 “I want to challenge them, let some good leader of Congress outside of the family become the party president for 5 years, then I will say that Nehru ji really created a truly democratic system there” he continued to take on Rahul Gandhi led party.

PM Modi further spoke on government’s Note ban announcement of November 2016, asserting “No one else is crying about demonetization today, only one family is cribbing”.

PM also counted BJP’s efforts for the growth in the state saying, “Atal Ji created Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. It was a peaceful division and both the states are developing rapidly today”. PM further lashed out at Congress saying “But, just look at what the mess Congress created at the time of formation of Telangana”.

Talking about the recent 1st phase of polls in the state, PM Modi said “Shouldn't people of Bastar be appreciated for such high voting percentages? I will tell you a way to appreciate them on November 20 you register even higher voting percentage than Bastar”.
