Amidst the lockdown and corona crisis, the number of corona infected is increasing in Chhattisgarh. Due to this, the state government has placed 95 areas in the Containment Zone. Recently, there has been a rapid increase in the number of infected people in these areas. The number of containment zones in the state was 44 last week. The Health Department said that 13 development blocks and urban areas have been kept in the Red Zone in the state. There are 39 areas in the Orange Zone.

In his statement, a health official said that State Health Secretary Niharika Barik has also issued a notification regarding COVID-19. Development blocks and urban areas have been divided into zones based on active cases of corona there. The official said, "13 development blocks and urban areas have been placed in the red zone. These include Dondilohara (Balod district), Kota, Bilaspur, Bilha, Takhatpur and Masturi (Bilaspur district), Raigad town, Churia (Rajanandgaon district), Mungeli, Ambikapur, Pandaria (Kabirdham), Balodabazar (Balodabazar District), Korba."

The official said that 39 development blocks and cities of 18 districts have been kept in the Orange Zone. He said that although not a single case of corona has been registered in some of these areas, yet it is in the Orange Zone. Corona testing could not be done much in these areas, so it has been kept in the Orange Zone list will be updated every Monday. On Tuesday, 68 new cases of corona have been registered in the state, after which the total figure of infected has reached 361. Out of these, 282 patients are currently under treatment and 79 patients have been cured so far.
