Chhattisgarh Congress wages major battle, health minister walks out of Assembly

Raipur: After Punjab and Rajasthan, there is momentarily fighting in the Chhattisgarh Congress, where it is in power with a huge majority. Navjot Singh Sidhu recently emerged as the CM candidate in Punjab. A similar situation was reported in November 2019 when Sachin Pilot in Rajasthan, TS Singh Dev in Chhattisgarh, and Jyotiraditya Scindia in Madhya Pradesh were sidelined in the Congress. But, now, the strife is increasing in Chhattisgarh.

The latest news is that Chhattisgarh health minister TS Singh Dev walked out of the House after being fed up with the attitude of his own government. He was accused of assault by Congress MLA Brahaspati Singh of Ramanujganj. He said TS Singh Dev was upset with CM Bhupesh Baghel for praising him. The allegations came to light after some other MLAs formed a lobby against the state health minister.

In Chhattisgarh, it has been revealed that the formula for becoming CM was fixed between Singh Dev and Baghel for two and a half years. But, Bhupesh Baghel succeeded in becoming close to the Gandhi family by actively participating in the assembly elections in several states, including Assam, after which Singh Dev's path became difficult. Now, such allegations by an MLA of his own party have embarrassed his image.
