Chhattisgarh: One SSB jawan injured in IED blast in Kanker

Raipur: An SSB soldier of 33 battalions was injured in a blast IED after a brief firing near Kosarunda camp in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. Kanker Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha has informed in this regard. There was an encounter between the soldier and Naxalites after the blast.

The search party was attacked by Naxalites near Kosrunda camp under the Tadoki police station area. Efforts are being made to evacuate the soldier who was injured in the blast. SP Shalabh Sinha confirmed the incident while security forces have also recovered IED from the Matwara area in Bijapur. The DRG team has achieved this success in the search operation.

Earlier, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldier had attained valour in an encounter with Naxalites in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. There was an explosion IED during an encounter in the Kistaram area of Sukma district. One jawan of the cobra battalion was injured in the blast. The young man later lost his life.
