Raipur: Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) will appoint 595 professors for the first time. The application process for the same will start from 12 noon on 13th September. Applications can be made from September 13 to October 12, 2021. Meanwhile, a controversy has erupted over the direct recruitment of professors. There is a lot of anomaly in the age limit in Professor Direct Recruitment Advertisement. There is constant opposition to it. The aggrieved professors have filed a petition in the Bilaspur High Court in this regard.

The matter is about age limit and educational qualification, which is being strongly opposed. The candidates say that most of the assistant professors of Chhattisgarh will be deprived of recruitment in the manner in which the government has changed the recruitment rules and initiated the process. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission will conduct examinations for a total of 30 subjects. These include Commerce 57, Law 1, Home Science 7, Sanskrit 7, Ancient Indian History 1, Public Administration 2, 64 for Hindi, 30 in English, Political Science 75, Economics 51, Sociology 57, History 29, Geography 29, Physics 20, Mathematics 35, Chemistry 50.

In addition, direct recruitment will be made to 3 posts of Botany 30, Zoology 26, Computer Science 1, Computer Application 1, Microbiology 2, Biotechnology 2, Geology 3, Military Science 1, Anthropology 2, Philosophy 1, Psychology 6, Veda 1, Astrology 1 and 3 posts of Information Technology. The selected candidates will be kept in three years' probation. This will give candidates from all over the country a chance to become professors directly in Chhattisgarh.
