Raipur: In Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed a Naxalite woman in an attack. Police officials have given this information. Inspector-General of Police of Bastar Region, Sundararaj said on Wednesday that security forces in the forest of Isulnar village under the Bijapur police station area had killed a female Naxalite in the attack.

Sundararaj said that a joint team of STF, DRG, and Central Reserve Police Force had left for the Bijapur police station area. When the party was in the forest of Isulanar village, the Naxalites started attacking the security forces with bullets. After which the security forces are also retaliating. The police officer said that after the firing from both sides for some time when the Naxalites escaped from there. But then the security forces have started searching the site. Security forces have seized the body of a female Naxalite, a 12 bore gun, and other items from there.

Sundararaj has said that the security forces have seen a large amount of blood marks in the spot. After which it seems that at least 3 to 4 Naxalites have been in trouble in this incident. The Inspector-General of Police has said that the Maoist woman killed in the encounter has not been identified yet. She is feared to be associated with platoon number 11 of the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army. Continued anti-Naxal operations in the security force sector.
