N Biren Singh, the CM of Manipur, voted in the first phase of the Assembly elections on Monday in the early hours of the morning. Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh is a BJP candidate in Imphal's Heingang constituency.

Biren Singh cast his vote at Imphal's Shrivan High School. Manipur CM Biren Singh reiterated his confidence in the BJP winning the state's Assembly elections after casting his vote. According to Biren Singh, the BJP expects to win 30 of Manipur's 38 Assembly seats in the first phase. "I expect 75 percent of people in my constituency to vote for the BJP and myself," Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh stated.

"The BJP expects to win at least 30 of the 38 seats in the first round." PM Modi is liked in Manipur, he added. The chief minister of Manipur also urged the people of the state to exercise their right to vote. "I appeal to the people of my constituency, as well as all other voters, to cast their votes and exercise the democratic authority conferred by the Constitution," Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh stated. Governor La Ganesan of Manipur also voted in Imphal's Tamphasana Girls' Higher Secondary School.

"I encourage to all Manipuris to utilise their franchise," he said, "because democracy is prevailing in our nation, and election is a manifestation of democracy."

On Monday, the destiny of up to 173 applicants, including 15 women, will be decided. BJP's Th Biswajit Singh, NPP candidate and deputy CM Yumnam Joykumar Singh, senior BJP leader Thokchom Satyabrata Singh, Congress' Ratankumar Singh, Lokeshwar Singh, Saratchandra Singh, and sitting party MLA Akoijam Mirabai Devi are among the other big names whose electoral fate will be decided on Monday.
