Hyderabad: Today is the occasion of Independence Day. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to hoist the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day at 10.30 am today. Every year in the Golconda fort, CM KCR hoists the tricolour flag. Apart from this, it is also customary to participate in the Independence Day celebrations. This time due to increasing cases of coronavirus the government has decided to celebrate Independence Day this time in Pragati Bhavan. The civil administration has made all kinds of preparations for Independence Day.
At the district level, ministers and other dignitaries are going to hoist the national flag in the district offices today. In this regard, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has released the list of the chief guests who unveiled the national flag in 32 districts and issued an order with this list. The government has asked the local MLA, Mayor, ZP President, DCCB / DCMS President, Municipal President and other district officials to participate in the Independence Day celebration to be held at the district level.
