Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has recently announced that 'Gram Panchayat, where the ratio of boys to girls is the same, will be given a prize of two lakh rupees.' Along with this, he also said that 'such Gram Panchayat, in which there has been no dispute for one year and no FIR has been filed, will also be given an award of two lakh rupees.' On Friday, the Chief Minister made all these announcements at a program organized at village Khairi Silgena in the Sehore district.

In fact, he joined the Shiva Yagna at village Khairi Silgena. During this, he said, 'The state government is continuously working for the betterment of the people. We are working day and night for the development and welfare of the people.' He further referred to the corona era in his speech, saying, 'In times of crisis, the state government has worked to provide relief to the poor, farmers, laborers and the needy. One lakh 18 thousand crore rupees have been deposited in the accounts of such needy sections as a pension, scholarship, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and other relief.' He further said, 'Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao campaign is being run in the state along with the Ladli Laxmi Yojana.' Legislation has been enacted to prevent violence and crime with daughters. So far 72 people have been sentenced to be hanged under this. During this, he called upon everyone not to make a difference between son and daughter, both are the same.

He said, "The result of 50 percent reservation to ensure women's participation in the panchayats and local bodies is that 56 percent of the women in the state have won the elections and are running the panchayats and bodies in a better way." With this, he said, 'There is no religion greater than the service of the people and there is no greater virtue than the virtue that is received from public service. Everybody should plant trees, especially when the children have a birthday or a wedding anniversary.' Also, trees should be planted on all special occasions. This will improve the environment.
