Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray On Thursday said that industrial units causing pollution in the residential area of Dombivli will be relocated elsewhere. For this, Thackeray has given 15 days to the concerned authorities to find a new place to move the polluting industrial units. Chief Minister Thackeray was in Kalyan where he held a meeting with various departments including the civic corporation, MIDC, MPCB (Maharashtra Pollution Control Board), and directed the transfer of polluting units.

For your information, let us tell you that there have been complaints from local residents that the chemicals released from industries in Dombivili spread on the roads and cause pollution. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Thackeray said that he has asked the officials to investigate this and inspect the industries located in residential areas. Also asked to inspect factories located in the area. Thackeray said that security measures should be taken as per the instructions of the MPCB to stop these factories causing pollution. He said that there are units located in residential areas where people are having health problems due to pollution, they should be shifted to distant places.

Apart from this, he said that another problem facing industrial and residential areas is the old and damaged pipelines of chemical waste which run out on the roads and cause pollution. CM asked the officials to inspect the pipelines that cause this problem To be resolved. To tackle this problem, the Maharashtra government has announced to sanction an amount of Rs 100 crore.
