Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said on Thursday that attempts to ruin the image of the Hindi film industry and to end it or move elsewhere will not be tolerated. The Uttar Pradesh government had taken a big decision in the past, in which it was said that a film city will be made in the state to woo the filmmakers. Now Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given a statement about this. Recently there was a meeting with multiplex and theater owners and in this meeting, citing Thackeray's statement, the Chief Minister's office said, "The effort to end the film industry or move elsewhere will not be tolerated." Apart from this, he also said that Mumbai is not only the financial capital of the country but also the entertainment capital. Now talking about Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, he said, "Bollywood is followed globally. The film industry generates a large number of jobs. In the last few days, there was an attempt by some people to tarnish the image of the film industry, which is quite annoying.''

In the past, the Uttar Pradesh government had taken a big decision in which it was said that a film city would be created in the state to woo the filmmakers. At the meeting, Thackeray said that a decision will be taken to re-open the cinema halls soon after the SOP is finalized.
