New Delhi: Chicken sales have fallen by more than 50 percent in the country amid the rising havoc of the Coronavirus. In the last month, its mains have fallen by more than 70 percent. A high official of Godrej Agrovet said on Thursday that rumors are being spread on social media that chicken may spread coronavirus. Due to this, both the price and sales of chicken have been recorded in the market.

Due to this, there can be a huge increase in prices.

Yadav said that the sales of chicken in a week in the country has come down to 3.5 crore chicken as compared to 7.5 crores, while the wholesale price which was Rs 100 per kg in the last one month has now reduced to Rs 35 per kg in the market. While its cost is about Rs 75 per kg. But even after this, customers are not coming to buy chicken.
