When you become a parent, changing your children's nappy gets a really challenging task. And if you have become a parent for the first time then it is really a big duty. Changing a children's nappy is hardly the most glamorous thing to so.
But now it might not be necessary, as one parenting website in the UK is recruiting professionals to do the needful dirty work. Childcare.co.uk originally advertised their “Nanny 999” nappy changing service as an April Fool’s Day joke earlier. But after the site was flooded with messages from parents requesting the service, they decided to make the prank a reality.
According to the post published by the site reads, “We have seen a big rise in the demand for nappy changing help through our platform, and are now offering Nappy 999 responders for all your nappy-related emergencies. We originally came up with the idea as an April Fool in 2018, but after receiving over 4,00,000 views on social media and being inundated with comments from people who thought it was genuinely a great idea, we have decided to launch the service for real!”
Parents will be priced £5 for each nappy changed. The “Uberstyle” service aims to get nappy-changers around the UK to respond to requests within 10 minutes. Childcare.co.uk stated the applicants must have a DBS check and at least one year of childcare experience. Parents have voiced their excitement at the proposed service on Facebook, commenting on the website’s original April Fool’s post: “If this wasn’t a April fools I would spend a fortune on this,” wrote one person.
