New Delhi: From today, 15-18-year-olds are being vaccinated against corona across the country. The Centre as well as the state governments have made preparations for this. More than 8 lakh children had been registered by morning for the vaccine on the Cowin app. Vaccination centres have also been made very colourful keeping in mind the children.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived this morning to inspect the vaccination centre. CM Yogi said the number of children in the age group of 15-18 years in the state is about 14 million. They have been instructed to give the vaccine. Vaccination work has started in 2,150 centres in the state from today. 39 centres have been set up in Lucknow where 15-18-year-olds are being given vaccine supplements. Pictures from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh have also surfaced. Children in the age group of 15-18 years have been given corona vaccine supplements at a civil hospital here.

In Assam also, corona vaccination for children in the age group of 15-18 years is beginning from today. State CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has inaugurated the vaccination in Dibrugarh today. The photos are of a school in Duliajan. Registration for vaccination of children between 15 and 18 years will start from January 1 on Cowin. A 10th marks list can also be put up for registration. He explained that since many children do not have Aadhaar or another ID card, the option of a 10th mark sheet has also been added.
