New Delhi: India has taken a step forward in the war against Corona virus. Actually, vaccination of 12-14 year olds is going to start from March 16. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has given information in this regard. With this, all people above 60 years of age will now be able to take a booster dose. Till now, only health care workers, front line workers and 60+ people with any comorbidity were being given booster doses of the vaccine in India.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted and wrote, 'Children are safe, the country is safe! I am happy to inform that from March 16, Kovid vaccination of children in the age group of 12 to 13 and 13 to 14 is starting. Also, all people aged 60+ will now be able to get precaution doses. I urge the families of children and people in the age group of 60+ to get the vaccine done.
The cases of corona virus are continuously decreasing in the country. At the same time, active cases have also decreased. During the last 24 hours, 2503 new cases of corona virus have been registered. With this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,29,93,494, while the number of patients under treatment has come down to 36,168. The Union Health Ministry has given this information on Monday.
