Dehradun: China has tried to infiltrate into Uttarakhand this time. About 100 soldiers of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) entered the Barahoti sector of Uttarakhand last month in violation of the Indian border. Chinese soldiers returned from Barahoti a few hours after the infiltration. Chinese troops reportedly damaged some infrastructure in Indian territory before returning. They were accompanied by 50 horses.

Earlier, Chinese troops had attempted to infiltrate into the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh, which the Indian Army had retaliated bluntly, killing several Chinese army soldiers in the clash and then China had to retreat. India's intelligence machinery has been put on full alert and the vigil of troops in the border areas has also been increased. Earlier on August 30, about 100 Chinese soldiers had also appeared within the Indian border.

As part of the counter-strategy, Indian troops patrolled the area. There has been no official response to the entry of Chinese troops into the Indian border. The incident comes at a time when India and China continue to clash in several areas of eastern Ladakh. The border dispute between India and China has not yet subsided that China is trying to make it more serious with such actions. It is also being reported that China has stepped up its preparations in view of the winter season along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
