China to Afghanistan and Nepal says, 'Be like Pakistan'

Beijing: Amid the ongoing border dispute with India, China is engaged in mobilizing India's neighboring countries. Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Yi held a virtual meeting for the first time on Monday with his counterparts in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Nepal. In this meeting, the Corona epidemic, financial support, and China's ambitious project Belt and Road (OBOR) were discussed.

Citing the joint initiative of Pakistan and China to control the Corona epidemic, the Foreign Minister of China said that the other two countries should also follow the path of Pakistan. Wang cited Pakistan and China as brothers, giving examples of cooperation between the two countries. Wang further said that it is a pleasure to meet a good neighbor. He said that Afghanistan and Nepal should also start joint initiatives with China on the corona, financial activities, and mutual dialogue, learning from the cooperation of China-Pakistan.

China's foreign minister said that the four countries should cooperate against the Corona crisis and should open the path of assistance to each other as soon as possible. According to a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry of China, the meeting was attended by Afghan Foreign Minister Muhammad Hanif Atmaar and Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. However, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi could not be present at the meeting, and Pakistan was represented by Minister of Economic Affairs Makdoom Khusro Bakhtiar. However, Qureshi did send his message in the meeting.
