Itanagar: The youth who went missing from Arunachal Pradesh has finally been handed back to India by China. Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has given this information through a tweet. "The Chinese PLA has handed over youth from Arunachal Pradesh, Miram Tarone, to the Indian Army. Proper procedures including medical examination are being followed.

It may be recalled that 19-year-old Miram Taron of Arunachal Pradesh had gone missing on December 18 from Jido village under the Upper Siang district. On Wednesday, before the release, Rijiju had tweeted, "THE PLA may soon tell about the date and time of the youth's release. The delay has been caused due to the bad weather conditions on their part."

On January 20, China had informed about the disappearance of the youth in its territory. He then sought more information from the Indian authorities to verify his identity. A note posted by Rijiju on Twitter had then said, "To help the Chinese side in verifying the identity, personal details and photos have been shared by the Indian Army from the Chinese side."
