China sends aid to Syria and requests that Chinese rescue teams leave

Beijing: China asked Chinese rescue teams that have not yet left for disaster zones in Turkiye and Syria to cancel their trips in order to lessen the burden on rescue operations. China also sent the second batch of supplies to areas of Syria affected by earthquakes.

The China Association for Disaster Prevention requested on Saturday that Chinese rescue teams postpone or cancel their missions in order to reduce the burden on severely affected areas and reduce weather-related risks.

The Red Cross Society of China is sending medical supplies, cotton tents, family kits, jackets, and other necessities to Syria, according to a report on CCTV on Monday.

As the death toll approaches 33,000, China has already committed financial aid to Turkey and Syria and has sent a number of rescue teams from across the nation, including 82 members sent by the Chinese government.

53 tons of tents donated by China to help Turkiye have arrived in Istanbul, according to CCTV late on Sunday. In the near future, more emergency aid is anticipated, according to China. According to CCTV video, the tents were transported on substantial cargo planes and will support relief efforts as the rescue effort continues.

According to CCTV, 40,000 blankets from China's government's first shipment arrived in Istanbul on Saturday. According to CCTV, the nation intends to send more medical supplies, including hospital beds, medical vehicles, ultrasound diagnostic equipment, and electrocardiogram machines.
