CHINA IN MAKING OF BECOMING AN ASIAN DOMINATOR

Becoming the global dominance and standing as a leader among the other countries has been a vision of many countries for which countries are expanding their powers on every sector to acquire the spot. When it comes to Asia China and Russia, they have been the two most-strongest countries in the region and also standout after US as the most powerful countries in the world.

It has been widely acknowledged that China seeks itself to the position of world sole superpower by 2049 displacing US. But no matter which country stands to the world superpower position they can’t create a unipolar world.

Asia has remained to a truly multipolar stage and multicivilizational order where it has maintained its history being on the same expect only in the 13th century. In Asia, china has become the world’s largest commodities importer as well as largest exporter of finished goods.

Today China seems to be an totally unstoppable force but Asia is full of immovable objects in the form of civilizational states such as Russia, Iran, and India, whose ancient histories allow them to stand up to China whenever it suits their interest to do so.

Asian parameters in global indexes are rising in GDP, services sector, per capita income, informal grey economy, inter-and intra-regional trade, investments, infrastructure projects, military expenditures, expanding urbanization and smart cities, relatively younger population profile, with nine of the 10 busiest airline routes, food and energy consumption and production, effectiveness and inclusiveness of governance.

Despite of China trying every possible move to create dominance in Asia it can’t be successful as Russia, India, and South Korea too are the powerful countries who love their individuality and independent decision making power. And love to participate in a multipolar world rather than a unipolar world.

China’s enhanced political influence in a post-pandemic world will likely increase the urgency of debate among the world’s major powers about how to engage with Beijing. But many countries have levied trade tariffs, curbed access to technologies against China, due to the Covid outbreak and China being termed as the center of the virus.

China talks of a “community of common destiny,” with diplomacy based on “win-win cooperation” and “mutual respect,” in which different social and political systems are accepted. But this is code for a downgrading of democracy.  Currently liberal democracy is held up as the sole legitimate form of governance. But China has a vision of creating authoritarianism to equal or even superior status.

China is a dominant power in itself but not for an entire region or the world, it has got the strong hold of economic sector and military power but it doesn’t prove his identity of global leader but proves his vision of becoming one.
