China: China on Wednesday gave a strong endorsement of its justification to Russia for the February 24 invasion of Ukraine.
The United States has been referred to by China as the "main instigator" of the crisis, which Russia has sought as an ally after receiving the cold shoulder from the West because of its actions.

China's ambassador to Moscow, Zhang Hanhui, accused Washington of pushing Russia to a corner with repeated expansion of the NATO defense alliance and aligning Ukraine with the European Union instead of Moscow in an interview with Russian state news agency TASS. Supported forces attempting to align. Published on Wednesday.

Zhang was quoted as saying, "Washing continues to supply arms and military equipment to Ukraine, while imposing unprecedented sweeping sanctions on Russia, as the initiator and main instigator of the Ukrainian crisis."

"Their ultimate aim is to end and crush Russia with the hammer of sanctions and a protracted war."

The ambassador's justification for the invasion of Ukraine, which resulted in thousands of deaths, destruction of entire cities, and the forced emigration of more than a quarter of the population, was similar to the one used by Russia.

According to the Ukrainian military, Russian forces on Wednesday bombed 28 cities in the northeast, southwest and south, including Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson regions. According to the General Staff of Ukraine, Russian troops were forced to retreat in most of them.

Erestovich, an adviser to Ukraine's president, claimed several civilians were killed in Russian shelling on Wednesday.
Moscow claims that NATO detail what it refers to as a "special military operation" to protect its security does not purposefully target civilians.

Moscow is accused of waging a war of unprovoked imperialist-style aggression by the West and Ukraine.

Ukraine's economy has been ravaged by the war, but there was some relief on Wednesday when foreign creditors backed Kyiv's request for a two-year suspension of payments of about $20 billion in international bonds. This ought to prevent an unhygienic default.
According to Ukraine's Prime Minister Denis Schmihal, the deal would save his country about $6 billion.

On Thursday, fierce fighting broke out around the eastern Ukrainian city of Pisky as Russia suppressed its effort to seize the entire industrial Donbass region. In the West, Kyiv accused Moscow of using a nuclear plant to conceal its artillery.

According to a representative of the Russian-backed Donetsk People's Republic, just 10 kilometers (6 miles) further north-west of the provincial capital Donetsk, Pisky was reportedly under the control of Russian and separatist forces.

Pesky is in scorching heat. However, according to the official posting on Telegram, Daniil Bezsonov, there are still separate parts of resistance in the north and west of the city.

Ukrainian authorities denied that the heavily fortified city, which was necessary to defend Donetsk, had been captured. Reuters was unable to confirm reports from the battlefield.

After failing to seize the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv at the start of the war in February, Moscow turned its attention to the Donbass region, which includes Luhansk and Donetsk provinces. Donetsk is still protesting, despite the fact that Luhansk is now almost entirely under Russian control.

In an interview uploaded to YouTube, the adviser to the President of Ukraine, Oleksey Erestovich, claimed that the Russian "movement in pesky" had failed.

In an interview with Ukrainian TV, Serhi Gaidai, the governor of the Luhansk region, claimed that Russia was sending more and more mercenaries to the area, including those from the Wagner Private Security Company.

“In the past, Ukrainian cities were quiet. We are currently living in the Middle Ages. Presently people are migrating during the upcoming winters due to fear of cold, he claimed.

On Wednesday, Ukraine accused Russia of using rockets fired from a nuclear power plant it captured in the center of the country to kill at least 13 people and injure 10. Knowing that doing so would put Ukraine at risk if it tried to retaliate.

About 500 Russian soldiers armed with heavy vehicles and weapons are reportedly present at the plant, where Ukrainian technicians are still employed.

Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of carrying out attacks near the plant, the largest nuclear complex in Europe.
The Group of Seven major industrialized nations on Wednesday demanded that Russia return the plant to Ukraine, after UN monitoring of nuclear power raised alarm over a potential nuclear disaster.
