Beijing: Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, hackers with links to China are conducting cyber attacks against the country, with allegations that they are aiming for the Ukrainian government.

As per the portal, experts from Google's security division and a group of anonymous analysts known as Intrusion Truth posted articles on Twitter in mid-March regarding recurrent Chinese intrusions. The hackers have ties to China's military, the People's Liberation Army, according to Intrusion Truth. It appears that they are attempting to assassinate Ukraine's government.

Ukraine's cyber defence unit has issued a warning about the attacks. An email containing malware was circulated throughout Ukraine in one of the incidents. The email requested recipients to save videos of Russian military inflicting damage on civilians. According to Asia Nikkei, the malware in the email is designed to steal or destroy the acquired data.

SentinelOne, a US security firm, has identified that the hacking group Scarab has ties to the Xi Jinping regime. Tom Hegel, a senior threat researcher, stated that Scrab's strike "This is the first publicly known [Advanced Persistent Threat] attack against Ukraine by a non-Russian nation. "There are numerous evidence that China is quietly manoeuvring in cyberspace.
