The 24-year-old Patidar leader, who had leading light the quota rouse, had given assurance to his political outfit's shore up to the Congress for the Gujarat assembly polls. Though, in spite of that, the grand old party was failed in the repossession of power in the state and was overwhelmed in many Patidar-dominated seats.

During the meet, PAAS leaders, together with Hardik Patel, would also tke a decision on a new state-level core committee for the duration of the meet, considering that a number of their leaders had given up the party in the run-up to the assembly polls. PTI cited PAAS convener for Botad district, Dilip Sabva as informing.

We have invited all the district, taluka level conveners and co-conveners of PAAS, members of our social media arm and several prominent Patidar leaders. Hardik will also remain present," said PASS leader Dilip Sabva.

The BJP kept hold of power in Gujarat by registering 99 seats, while the Congress which was reared by Hardik Patel made better its tally to 77.
