As a layman, the most common thing everyone has heard is to keep moving and be consistent in any activity. With many physical activities, dance remains one of the most prominent and fun-loving activities one can do. Throwing light on the same, actor and choreographer Sahaj Singh Chahal gives us reasons how dance can make way to live a fit lifestyle. 

With so many styles and dance forms, we have seen the ace choreographer slay every time. The energetic performer not only considers dance as his passion but a part of his routine. To all the millennials and teenagers who have always thought of staying fit, Sahaj reveals many benefits of dancing and how it can impact the overall health of an individual. The first and foremost benefit of dancing is that it improves body flexibility. 

Being a highly experienced choreographer, and a past master of various dance forms, Sahaj says, “As you dance consistently, you will realize how your body stretches and become more flexible to complete each stretch. Once you achieve body flexibility, you will realize that dancing will become much easier for you.” Well, we have seen how gracefully Sahaj performs, and it seems that his consistency has done wonders for him. Another benefit of dancing is that it reduces stress levels. The choreographer reveals that dancing is an act that is all about living in the moment and enjoying it to the fullest. 

“While dancing your heart out, you tend to reduce the amount of cortisol that your brain produces as it helps in lowering your stress and tension levels”, stated Sahaj. Besides this, one of the best aspects of dancing regularly is that it encourages weight loss. According to the choreographer, during the dancing activity, various muscle groups are targeted that help to keep the human body fit. “It is all about staying consistent with it, and I am sure results will be achieved gradually with time”, added Sahaj. All in all, considering dance as an overall health booster, Sahaj feels that dancing is more about pumping up energy on different levels.

In his spectacular journey as a choreographer and an actor, Sahaj Singh Chahal has been fortunate to be a part of some big projects. Having choreographed more than 70 Punjabi songs, Sahaj has even worked on a few big Bollywood projects and with stars like Vicky Kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan, Harrdy Sandhu, to name a few. Starting his career merely at an age of 14, the energetic performer has come a long way. His passion for dancing saw the birth of ‘Urban Singh Crew’, a dance group that has taken India on a global level. Moreover, Sahaj's primary mission is to represent his country’s richness through dance, and also promote fitness on various levels.
