Kannada star Puneet Rajkumar is no longer in this world. He passed away on October 29. It has been a full 10 days since the actor passed away but fans have not forgotten him so far. Meanwhile, there is a demand to give padma shri award to the late star. In fact, two Ministers of the Karnataka Government last sunday urged the Chief Minister to make a recommendation to the Centre in this regard. You must be aware that famous star Puneet died of a heart attack at the age of 46 and after his death many of his fans were in a bad shape.
After his death, State Agriculture Minister B.C. Patil says, 'Puneet Rajkumar should have been given padma shri while alive for his achievements, but unfortunately he is no longer with us. In that case, it should be given to them posthumously. He also said, 'As a fan, I also connect with other fans. As a part of the Government, I urge the Chief Minister to recommend it to the Centre. '
He further said, "Puneet is eligible for this award not only as an actor but also for his work for the society. If the matter comes up before the Cabinet, it will be unanimously agreed upon". Apart from him, Tourism Minister Anand Singh said, "Puneet Rajkumar is a man who had a human service mindset, he joined us in many public interest campaigns like pulse polio campaign. I support my demand for him to get padma shri."
