Abu Dhabi: Almost every major record of T20 cricket is occupied by West Indies' stormy batsman Chris Gayle. He is also considered to be the best ODI and Test batsman. He is now 41 years old but the impact of his batting is still intact. Many fans wait for his batting in every match. In a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday, Gayle scored 51 off just 29 balls to give Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) their fifth consecutive win in the tournament.

After the contest, Gayle talked about his plans for his retirement, saying he is not thinking about retirement from cricket at the moment. Against KKR, Chris Gayle and Mandeep Singh put up a hundred runs for the second wicket. Gayle interviewed Mandeep after the match. In the meantime, Mandeep asked Gayle to never retire from cricket. Gayle then laughs and says, "Did you hear what he said?" I'm not taking retirement at the moment. I will play with the youth."

Chris Gayle has been playing cricket continuously for 21 years. In 1999, he made his debut in international cricket against India at the Torrents ground. During the one-day series against India in August last year, it was on the grounds of the port of Spain that Gayle was taking retirement. He was given a 301 number jersey but later on, he himself said that he was not taking the renunciation.
