Christian Eriksen will be seen captaining Denmark in a friendly match against Serbia, which is set to be his first match at the Parken Stadium since suffering a heart attack on the field in the middle of the European Championship last year. Denmark coach Casper Hjulmund has said that Casper Shamichel, who led the team in place of the injured Simon Kajor, has also suggested handing over the captaincy to Ericsson.

It's going to be an emotional opportunity for Eriksen. He has fallen on the field at the same stadium in Copenhagen after suffering a heart attack in the middle of the match against Finland on June 12 last year.

It was later said that for 5 minutes he was in a dead state. Ericsson has played his first professional match in the Premier League for Brentford on his return. He took to the field as a substitute against the Netherlands at Amsterdam on Saturday.
