Pratapgarh: A group of protestors interrupted a Christmas event at Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh on Tuesday, accusing that the organizers of the event were forced to people for religious conversions at the function.

As per reports of ANI, two people were also in detention on charges of forceful religious conversions. Though, reports said that the duos were later set free in the early morning of Wednesday.

The Christmas celebration was held for Tuesday and Wednesday by a local group which is "Masih Shakti Samiti”.

The organizers argued that they had filed an application in writing for the mandatory permissions to the police and the Collector to cleave to the function, as reports said.

Actually, around 30 people had come from nearby villages to take a part in the festivities. However, at 8:30 pm on Tuesday when the members were ready to have dinner, a group of men allegedly entered the spot and interrupt the function, the organizers claimed.

The protesters accused the organizers of taking place forced conversions and turn upside down the premises of the community center, where the event was being organized.

They allegedly de-adorned the decorations and the literature pertaining to the event.

The organizers alleged that police had escorted the men who had illegally entered into the community center’s premises.
