1 cup Mawa
2 cups grated beetroot 1 cup sugar
1 cup milk powder
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tablespoons almond powder
Ghee according to need
Method - For this, first put ghee in a pan on medium heat and keep it for heating. After this add beetroot and fry for 2 minutes. Now add sugar after 2 minutes and cook until it dissolves. On the other side, add mawa in the pan and fry it. Now when the mawa is roasted then add sugar and cook it. Now after roasting sugar and mawa, add cardamom powder and cook for 2 minutes and turn off the gas. After this, add milk powder in the beet mixture and cook till it thickens. When the mixture starts leaving the pan, add cardamom powder and almond powder and mix and cook for 2 minutes. Now apply ghee on a plate to make it smooth and spread the mawa mixture first, then spread the beet mixture on top and press it lightly with the help of a spoon. Now keep the mixture for 2 hours to set. Once the time is fixed, then cut the barfi into desired pieces. Beetroot barfi is ready.
