CID seizes smack worth 60 lakh in Kota, smugglers arrested

Quota: CID's special team has arrested a smuggler in the checking of a Rajasthan roadways bus at the bypass intersection in Anantpura police station area of Kota on Saturday and seized 430 grams of illegal smack from his possession. The arrested accused Vishnu Prasad Tanwar son Ratan Lal (25) is said to be a resident of Rampuria Kalan Thana Akera Jhalawar. The price of the recovered SMAC in the global market is Rs 60 lakh.

Director General crime M L Lather informed that the action has been taken on the direction of IG Crime Branch VK Singh after the crime branch received information about illegal drug trafficking. A team of Constable Madan Lal Sharma and Ravinder Singh led by DYSP Pushpendra Singh Rathore was formed and sent to Kota. On Saturday, the team took the local support of Thanhikari Anantpura Devesh Bhardwaj to stop the roadways bus at the bypass intersection and arrested the SMAC smuggler accused.

Lather said that a case has been filed against the smugglers in the NDPS Act at Thana Anantpura in Kota. He said that in the initial interrogation, the smuggler Vishnu Prasad informed that he smuggled illicit drugs with his uncle's boy Mangi Lal Tanwar and was going to supply the local smuggler Wajid Khan and Babu Khan, who lived in Smac Indragarh district of Bundi. Which further transports it to local smugglers in Lakheri, Indragarh, Gangapur City, Lalsot and Sawaimadhopur.
