Ranchi: The Bengal CID team raided the house of the three Congress MLAs caught in the Jharkhand cash scandal. On Monday, the CID team reached the residence of MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Bixal. It is being said that the CID team has received important documents from the residents of the three. Apart from this, cash and jewellery have also been recovered. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.  

In fact, 3 MLAs of Jharkhand Congress were caught with 49 lakh cash in Howrah. Subsequently, the party dismissed the three MLAs. At the same time, Congress had also accused the BJP of horse-trading. According to sources, weapons are reported to have been recovered from MLA Rajesh Kachhap's house. At present, the CID team is verifying the recovered documents.  

The Jharkhand Congress MLAs were nabbed near Ranihat Mor in Howrah on July 30. The Bengal Police had also seized Rs 49 lakh cash along with them. Subsequently, the three were taken into custody and subsequently arrested. The West Bengal CID has summoned an Assam-based businessman in connection with the case. It is being said that the name of the businessman is Ashok Kumar Dhanuka. The police have summoned him in connection with the investigation. Dhanuka is said to be close to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal reached Guwahati and put up a notice outside Dhanuka's house asking him to appear before it on Monday. However, the businessman's mobile phone was found switched off, due to which there was no response from him.
