Citroen has announced that it will provide Onto, an all-inclusive electric car subscription service, with 300 new e-C4 100 percent electric vehicles. From October, Onto customers will be able to purchase the newly announced electric vehicles. The automobiles will be available in the top-of-the-line and best-selling ‘Shine Plus' trim.

Onto, which was launched in 2017, offers clients a subscription-based electric vehicle ownership experience. Since then, the service has grown to over 3,000 active users, all of whom will soon be able to get their hands on the new Citroen e-C4 through the Onto scheme. Along with the EV, the company claims to offer its customers insurance, 1000 miles per month, servicing and maintenance, and charging at over 11,000 points included.

Citroen’s strategy to provide an electric model of each car they manufacture is a great step for the EV industry. We love to offer our customers flexibility and choice when it comes to choosing their car and we’re excited to bring this new model onboard - one that we’re certain will be a popular addition."

By 2025, Citroen plans to provide electrified versions of all of its vehicles. The new e-C4 is said to be at the heart of the company's electrification plan. The small hatchback is equipped with a 50kWh lithium-ion battery pack that powers a 136hp and 260Nm electric motor. The battery pack is said to provide a full charge range of up to 217 miles (WLTP) and is equipped with CCS fast charging.
