Civil Aviation Ministry celebrates Yoga Day at Gwalior Fort

GWALIOR: The Ministry of Civil Aviation commemorated the International Day of Yoga by hosting a large-scale yoga demonstration in Gwalior Fort, which drew over 2,000 people. Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, opened and led the ceremony.

Because the International Day of Yoga falls during the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" year, the Ministry of Ayush has planned to commemorate the day at 75 important spots across India, which will assist to brand India on a global scale.

The theme for this year's IDY 2022 is "Yoga for Humanity," which depicts how yoga helped humanity during the Covid-19 pandemic by alleviating suffering and, in the emerging post-Covid geopolitical scenario, by bringing people together through compassion, kindness, and building resilience among people all over the world.

The programme included activities such as a common yoga protocol, expert lectures on yoga, and a yoga demonstration.
