The case was presented before the bench of Chief Justice, Justice SA Bobde and Justice S Abdul Nazir. The Maharashtra government filed a caveat in the matter and requested that it be heard before passing any order. On 13 September, the Bombay High Court refused to quash the FIR lodged against Navlakha for the Koregaon-Bhima violence and alleged Maoist contacts in 2017. The High Court had said that given the seriousness of the case, we feel that a detailed investigation is needed.
