Friday, a clash broke out between two two groups of in which a Block Development Committee (BDC) member was allegedly in a village in the district, police said.
The incident took place early in this morning in Mainapoothi village under Sururpur police station over a minor issue, when six men led by Sabu, son of Tausif, attacked the house of BDC member Matin.
Demised identified as 25 year old Matin, who was killed on the spot due to a bullet injury, two others were injured, they said.
As per police report, there was a small argument between Sabu and the deceased's father yesterday. Later, the incident body was sent for post mortem and on the complaint of Matin's family members an FIR has been registered against accused Sabu and five others
