Shivpuri: In a shocking incident reported from Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, a Class X schoolgirl reportedly jumped out of a speeding autorickshaw after the driver allegedly molested her.

The incident took place early on Thursday. As per reports,  the autorickshaw driver wanted to be friends with the girl. On the way to school, the driver allegedly made unwanted advances making the victim uncomfortable.

The girl student started screaming in the autorickshaw when the driver did not stop despite repeated pleadings. Finding no option, the girl jumped out of the autorickshaw, as per local media reports. The girl was injured during the fall and has since been admitted to the nearby hospital.

Later, the accused auto-driver was apprehended by onlookers and given to the police.

The Station House Officer of Dehat police station said a case has been filed against the accused. He has been booked for molestation under IPC and other relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
