Class 12 Pune student Yogesh Kulkarni wins Silver at International Maths Olympiad

Maharashtra: India has performed wonders in International Olympiads, here Anish Yogesh Kulkarni from Pune achieved the Silver medal for India at the 62nd International Mathematical Olympiad 2021. This year it was hosted by Russia many geniuses participated from all over the world. The event took place virtually from St Petersburg.

Let us tell you that Anish was part of a team of six students representing India. In this competition, the Indian team won 5 medals, one gold, one silver, and three bronze. Out of which Pune students won 2 medals, a Silver medal by Anish and a Bronze medal by Ananya Ranade. Anish is enthusiastic about mathematics since his childhood. He has been preparing for International Mathematical Olympiad since 8th std. After his failures of missing the team by few marks in 2019 and India canceling participation in 2020, he finally made it to the team in 2021. He is currently studying in 12th standard at P. B. Jog Junior College.

He got guidance and direction from M. Prakash Institute and Bhaskaracharya Pratishthan. Esteemed teachers like M Prakash, Kiran Barve, Subodh Pethe, Prashant Sohani, and many more have helped him along his journey.
