Agra: A case has been reported of 18-year-old boy who murdered his grandmother after she refused to buy him smartphone. The accused is a 10th class student. He allegedly strangled his 60-year-old grandmother to death in aligarh's pendra village.
According to the information received, his grandma refused to give him money to buy a new android phone. After which he got angry and committed the crime in connivance with his two friends. The shocking part about the incident is that the incident took place on April 2 but was not reported to police. The accused Sachin told everyone that his grandmother Munni Devi had died due to heart attack. The crime came to light after the boy's uncle found his mother's death suspicious and lodged a police complaint recently. Later, investigations were done regarding the sudden death which revealed that two of Sachin's friends, Jackie and Honey have murdered her. During interrogation, they told police that Sachin wanted to buy an Android phone for which his grandmother was not ready to give him money.
However, Atrauli station house officer, Sanjay Jaiswal, said that all the accused have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
