Madhya Pradesh: A clean and result-oriented legislative functioning is the first requirement of an ideal democratic system, which gives a correct and healthy form of democracy. Result-oriented legislation ensures the success of democracy, in which the Legislative Assembly committees play an important role, said Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam.

Addressing a joint meeting of the Financial and House Committees for the period of 2021-2022 at Vidhan Sabha, the Speaker said that the Legislative Assembly Committees stay away from party bonds and strengthen the process of legislation and its implementation.

He said that for the supervision and examination of the programmes and schemes run by the government towards the development of agriculture and allied sectors, the conduct committee including the Development Committee and the local body and the Panchayati Raj Accounts Committee were constituted for the second time in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

The comprehensive functioning of the committees will increase mutual trust between the legislature and the executive and the public welfare works will materialize. On this occasion, Chief Whip of the Congress Legislature Party Govind Singh, Chairman of Public Accounts Committee Brijendra Singh Rathore and other officials were present.
