Close aide of Osama bin Laden and returned to Afghanistan

According to media reports, Amin-ul-Haq, a senior al-Qaeda leader in Afghanistan, has returned to his hometown of Nangarhar after the Taliban took control of the province.

Amin-ul-Haq was a close associate of Osama bin Laden, the former al-Qaeda leader who was killed by US forces in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in 2011.

In the 1980s, he worked with Abdullah Azzam at Maktaba Akhidmat, Amin-ul-Haq was Osama bin Laden's security chief in Tora Bora, and he got close to him.
