The states of nation are practicing different ways to curb the surge of coronavirus. The states government are issuing orders of dismissing in-person activities, imposing night curfews and short period lockdown. Lately, Himachal Pradesh has decided to extend closing of educational institutions till May 1. The reason entire India is dismissing in-person activities is due to COVID-19 surge.

The government of Himachal Pradesh has decided to keep all the educational institutes, including schools and colleges, in the state closed till May 1. According to officials statement earlier, the government decided to keep the educational institutes in the state shut till April 21, but now keeping in mind the current situation in Himachal Pradesh authorities have extend the closure. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have issued the fresh orders. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education also decided to postpone the HPBOSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams for this academic year for the safety of the students.

In view of coronavirus situation, many states have ended up postponing the university exams and the board exams in their areas. All the exams are likely to be conducted in May or June this year when the pandemic situation is anticipated to be under control.
