Kedarnath: A cloudburst near Amarnath cave is being reported. So far, five people have been reported to have died in the incident, including three women and two men. Many people were also injured there. NDRF, SDRF and other partner agencies have been dispatched to the front for the rescue operation. Rescue work on the spot is going on a war footing. Damage has also been reported in many tents of devotees. It is being told that the cloudburst occurred at around 5:30 pm today.

 

IGP Kashmir has informed that some langars and tents have suddenly been flooded due to a cloudburst near Amarnath cave. There are reports of some deaths as well. Rescue operations by police, NDRF and other rescue teams are on. The injured are being airlifted for treatment. The situation is under control.

The Pahalgam Joint Police Control Room said that a cloudburst was reported at around 5.30 pm in the low-lying areas of the Amarnath cave. Rescue operations by NDRF, SDRF and other agencies are on. The ITBP said that the rescue teams were on the job. ITBP teams along with other agencies are engaged in the rescue operation. News of some people being swept away in the flood is coming out. Many people have also been evacuated from the flood. It is being told that it had been raining here for a long time. After which the cloud burst this evening. After the cloudburst, the procession came out from among the tents of the devotees.
