Dehradun: Cloudbursts in Uttarkashi are likely to cause huge devastation. People are rushing towards the forest to save lives. Arakot, Mokudi and Tikochi have suffered a lot of damage. A cloudburst in Arakot has reported a house swept away. Two people in the house were also reported to have been swept away in the water. The three villages are adjacent to Himachal Pradesh.

The road connecting the three villages has also been washed away by cloudbursts. Superintendent of Police Uttarkashi Pankaj Bhatt has given the information. Disaster management teams have left for Uttarakhand. According to the administration, 5 people are still missing due to heavy rains. SDRF has confirmed that a woman was buried under the debris in Makodi. Five people are reported missing in Tikochi in Uttarkashi after a cloudburst. DM Uttarkashi Ashish Chauhan has left for the affected area.
