Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has termed the arrest of Uttar Pradesh Congress unit president Ajay Kumar Lallu as malicious. CM Gehlot has immediately intervened with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda and demanded his release.

Gehlot has said in a tweet, 'It is highly condemnable to arrest UP Congress unit president Ajay Kumar Lallu without any fault. Raising the voice of the public is not a crime. If every ruling party does the same, it will have a very wrong effect.' In another tweet, Gehlot has said that PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda should intervene to release him immediately. Gehlot has also written the names of the three leaders on his Twitter account.

A political battle is being fought between Congress and Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh on the issue of providing bus to migrant workers. The Congress had alleged that Agra district administration is not giving entry to buses parked in Bharatpur due to political reasons. The Congress also alleged that the BJP is doing politics on the issue of migrant workers. BJP's charge on this matter is that most of the buses that the Congress had submitted the list, did not have any numbers. The SP of Agra Rural had said that the status of buses for inter state travel is not permissible.
